Fueling the Fire: Why We Give Back
Every great invention begins as a sketch, a spark, or a late-night idea that refuses to let go. Too often, for women, that’s where it stays. When only 4% of patents over the last decade named women as their only inventors, the problem isn’t a shortage of brilliant ideas. It’s a shortage of access, education, and people who believe in them.
That’s why a portion of every dollar FIRE earns goes to the United Inventors Association (UIA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the largest inventor member organization in the United States. For inventors at every stage, from a raw idea to the store shelf, UIA provides free education and a national network of inventor associations. Membership is free. No barriers, no gatekeepers, just a community ready to help you move forward.
We didn’t choose UIA lightly. I proudly sit on its Board of Directors, and I have seen firsthand the difference it makes when an inventor finds the right guidance and the right people at the right time. That is the kind of impact we want to multiply.
UIA is also our permanent sponsor for every FIRE pitch competition. Every stage we build, every founder who steps up to pitch, and every idea that gets its moment in the spotlight will carry their support. Together, we are working to move the 4% needle, one female inventor, one invention, and one breakthrough at a time.
When you join the fire, you help fuel it. Because the world needs what she’s inventing.
